OKKO takes the initiative and urges businesses operating in Ukraine in the field of fuel retail to publish information on tax payments annually and quarterly, including the amount of taxes on operating activities and taxes on imports of goods.
In 2020, OKKO Group companies paid UAH 1.8 billion in operating taxes to budgets and funds. The amount of taxes paid from the operating activities of the enterprises of the OKKO Group increased in 2020 by 20%. We will remind that this category includes: the income tax, the VAT (except paid at customs at import), the retail excise tax, the personal income tax, the military tax, land tax, the tax on obligatory state pension insurance. UAH 2.9 billion was paid directly at the import of goods. Last year, the group's companies paid UAH 4.7 billion in taxes, which is 0.4% of all last year's tax revenues in the consolidated budget of Ukraine.
"In terms of taxes paid, OKKO is confidently among the leaders among filling stations in Ukraine. We hope that the initiative with which we turn to business will find a response, and other transparent fuel retail companies will join us. We are confident that this will only bene fit the formation and maintenance of honest and transparent relations between business and the country", commented the CFO of OKKO Nazar Kupybida.
It should be reminded that the company from the OKKO group - JSC Concern Galnaftogaz - recently took 100th place in the ranking of TOP-200 largest companies in Ukraine in the amount of tax payments for 2020*. Another representative of Ukrainian fuel retail - Alliance Holding LLC (part of the Shell group) - is in 178th place in this list.
