OKKO PROVIDED FILLING STATIONS WITH UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY AND INTERNET DEVISES

OKKO has modernized its corporate communication network with intelligent management system to improve the quality and reliability of Internet connection at filling stations.

The system automatically selects and uses the most stable and powerful among the three communication channels - optical terrestrial, mobile LTE/3G and satellite Starlink, which are available at almost every filling station in the network. Or it uses all three at once, thereby ensuring the highest quality connection.

“OKKO is the first company in Ukraine to implement software-controlled corporate network, the so-called SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) using Aruba equipment, the world leader in its field,”SAID SERHIY LESKO, OKKO'S CIO.

This is the next step in a series of consistent actions taken by the company to ensure continuous operation of filling stations under any conditions. In particular, all 409 filling stations in the network are equipped with diesel generators, and the majority of stations with Starlink.

In addition, OKKO continues the work started in 2023 to replace UPS (uninterruptible power supplies) with modern powerful LI-Ion units that provide up to 6 thousand charge/discharge cycles. By the end of this year, they will cover 90% of filling stations.

Owing to these measures, different equipment like cash registers may operate steadily even during power outages and switching to backup power. As always, customers can pay in a convenient way - at the cash desk or two-sided self-service cash desk.
