OKKO AND UKRHYDROENERGO PLAN TO DEVELOP THE PRODUCTION AND USE OF "GREEN" HYDROGEN

The memorandum of cooperation was signed between OKKO and UKRHYDROENERGO at the beginning of October. It defines the intentions regarding the joint vision for the development and implementation of projects for the production, transportation and sale of "green" hydrogen. The companies will jointly study the experience of world producers of "green" hydrogen to apply these modern technologies in Ukraine.

"OKKO is a progressive company and we are going to develop alternative types of clean energy that can substitute traditional fuels in near future"commented Vasyl Danylyak, CEO of OKKO group of companies.

General Director of Ukrhydroenergo Ihor Syrota added that the company intends to participate in hydrogen production and aims integrating Ukraine into European decarbonization processes by reducing carbon emissions and entering the EU markets.

This step will give opportunity not only to speed up Ukraine's integration into projects aiming "green transition", but also to increase future stability and independence of energy system of Ukraine.
