Sep 3, 2024

A newly built McDonald's restaurant has recently opened on the territory of the OKKO filling station in Odesa, 2a Simon Litman Street (formerly Pestel Street). This is the first result of the partnership between the two brands, which is to be continued. In Mukachevo (Zakarpattia region) has already begun the construction of the next McDonald's restaurant at the OKKO filling station. Several other joint projects are now at the stage of approval.

“From the very beginning, the development of OKKO network aims to offer our customers the maximum of useful services in one place, including those are provided by our partners. By starting cooperation with McDonald's, we give our guests even more opportunities and reasons to visit OKKO. We do not see any competition of big brands, formats, menus, on the contrary, it is about complementing each other,”comments Vasyl Dmytriv, Vice President of Marketing at OKKO

“McDonald has strategy to be close to customers and open new restaurants where it is most convenient for visitors. The format of co-location of McDonald's restaurants and filling stations is not new in the world, and in recent years we have started to develop it in Ukraine. This restaurant is the fourth one of MacDonald’s to be located directly on the territory of the filling station and the first such project implemented in cooperation with OKKO. We are pleased to start a new partnership and we are confident that it will bring many benefits to both our customers and OKKO customers,”comments Vitaliy Stefurak, McDonald's Development Director in Ukraine.

OKKO opened the filling station at Simon Litman in Odesa in 2021. The complex is characterized by a good location and modern design. The facility is located at the entrance to the city at M05 Kyiv-Odesa highway, which is convenient for drivers and travelers. In addition, new residential complexes have been built nearby in recent years, and their residents are also regular guests of the complex. There is a large territory with 40 parking lots around the filling station and restaurant. Another feature of this filling station is its unique architectural and engineering design, which has no analogues in Ukraine. The roof over the operator's room, summer terrace, and canopy over the filling area is covered by 316 solar panels with a total area of over 600 square meters.

Construction of the restaurant started in late 2023 and lasted 8 months, but the operation of the filling station itself was not interrupted.
