The OKKO Group Holding has imported the first million cubic meters of natural gas from Western Europe, purchased from the international energy trader AOT Energy. The process of loading it into underground storage is currently underway.
"The first batch of imported gas allowed us to test all necessary procedures and processes. Now we are negotiating with several international traders, from whom we plan to buy natural gas. We have already passed all the necessary compliance procedures with five of them, which precede the signing of contracts," said Volodymyr Ostashchuk, Head of the new products sales department of the OKKO Group.
The OKKO Group intends to increase its volume of natural gas purchases to 30 million cubic meters per month. Activity on the European gas market is planned to increase from spring when the fuel season expires and the resource can be purchased 30-40% cheaper than during peak consumption periods. After that, it will be deposited in underground storage. At the same time, the OKKO Group will buy gas from Ukrainian producers.
