Holding OKKO Group has already invested over 60 million hryvnias in Kherson oil transshipment complex, which was purchased a year ago. During this period, the company upgraded the tank farm and the oil depot, installed new loading stations, restored the fire pond, etc.
In 2021, the complex already accepted tank vessels with diesel fuel. In 2022 OKKO expects an increase of traffic flow, due to building and maintenance of infrastructure for unloading bitumen tankers. Currently, the Kherson complex is able to receive 2 tankers in parallel (with volume of 6.5 thousand tons each). The unloading period of one tanker is approximately one day.
On the territory of oil depot, that is located 4.5 kilometers from the harbor, OKKO built a new autofilling overpass circuit with an automated control system that can serve 6 machines simultaneously, as well as a new pumping station for it. The oil depot has a railway track, therefore a railway overpass for filling the tank wagons operates on this site.
“We received an object where nothing was invested for long years. So, we faced a challenging task to set up not only economically efficient, but also technologically safe object, and it had to be made in the shortest period” , said Vasyl Kindiy, the Head of OKKO oil depot network. "Significant volume of work awaits us in 2022 as well. But we can already state that Ukraine has received one more opportunity to fill up the domestic market of oil products with shipments from the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions".
