OKKO Group invests UAH 100 million in its own fleet of grain trucks

OKKO Group Holding is expanding its presence in the market of grain transportation by road. During 2017-2018, OKKO GROUP purchased 20 transport units for the transportation of grain and seeds, and by July 1 plans to increase the fleet by another 25 units. After that, the total investment of the holding in the project will be about UAH 100 million.

“Over the past 5 years, Ukraine has been steadily exporting 40 million tons of grain a year with a growing trend, and the need to transport such goods to elevators, ports and railway stations is growing,” said corporate communications department of OKKO Group Holding. “It is advisable to use grain trucks on sections with a short logistical lag, as well as an alternative transportation option, as there is a lack of railway cars on the market for the transportation of grain crops.”

In 2018, OKKO Group grain trucks transported almost 70,000 tons of products, establishing partnerships with leading agricultural holdings in Ukraine. In 2019, the company hopes to significantly improve last year’s result by increasing the fleet and the positive experience of previous cooperation with customers. Moreover, the OKKO brand for many partners is already a guarantee that the product will be delivered reliably, on time, without losses.
