OKKO Group helps to popularize agricultural receipts

Agrarian receipts – for agriculture producers, this is usually a more convenient and beneficial alternative to bank loans. While this credit instrument is actively used around the world, in Ukraine, it still works only in pilot mode and in seven regions. However, as of January 1, 2018, agrarian receipts may be issued by agribusiness enterprises in all regions of the country. The OKKO Group was one of the first in Ukraine to start offering fuel, mineral fertilizers, and funds to farmers on the terms of agricultural receipts. Therefore, our specialists have actively participated in a project with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in order to promote this financial instrument. 

As part of this project, a series of roundtables and seminars were organized for representatives of the agro-industrial complex, civil servants, notaries and lawyers, and other stakeholders. Participants explained the benefits of working with agrarian receipts, aspects of their design, and execution by the parties of their obligations. Representatives of the OKKO Group also spoke at a significant number of these events. In particular, we presented our program in Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Dnipro, Lviv, Lutsk and several other regions. After all, today our holding can provide farmers with a unique offer to cover their needs for fuel, mineral fertilizers, and financial resources, secured with grain from the future harvest.

Unlike the practice of bank lending, cooperation with the OKKO Group does not involve transferring the bail of agricultural producers' property. Instead, the future harvest is a pledge, which is secured through an agrarian receipt. Every interested agrarian producer can go through the procedure of becoming a program participant, without any unnecessary formalities and bureaucratic delays. As a result, farmers can receive guarantees not only for the full and timely receipt of material and financial resources for their field work, but also for marketing their harvested products.

 According to official statistics, more than 150 agricultural receipts have been issued in Ukraine for a total value of UAH 1 billion.
