OKKO filling complex network has installed an art object designed to attract attention of drivers and passengers to seat belts use necessity - a natural size car seat. The sculpture was created with 1 079 stubs for seat belts, which conscious drivers brought to the filling stations throughout Ukraine within the promo "Let the stub - choose life"*.
Currently, an unusual sculpture is installed at the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Stepan Bandera Avenue 26 B). Lately, the chair will start a trip to other cities of Ukraine, where it will remind the public of the importance of adhering to safety rules on the road.
"Initially, when the promo just started, we planned to simply dispose of the collected stubs. Eventually, it became clear that the example of the drivers, who took part in the campaign, will save more than one life. So the idea appeared to create an art object and send it on a country tour. We are grateful to the government bodies that supported our initiative and joined the project. I hope that by joint efforts we will be able to reduce the number of accidents in Ukraine", - says Yaroslava Polyakova, head of the department of corporate communications of OKKO filling complexes network.
The first day of the creative car seat exposition was accompanied by an promo for all visitors to the MIA service center: everyone who took photos sitting in the driving chair with a fastened safety belt, and posted it on social networks with hashtags #Ibegyoulive*, received from OKKO a useful set for drivers: reflective vests and stickers.
"This chair gives you an opportunity to re-think about the importance of using safety belts. The location for the chair is very appropriate - so more drivers will pay attention to this problem and will, like me, always use safety belt while driving", commented Anna, a driver with seven years of experience and a participant of the promotion.
The project "I beg you, fasten", which the promotion "Give the stub - choose life" was part of, has begun with a call to use seat belts and child car seats in November 2017. During 6 months OKKO conducted 12 trainings in various regions of Ukraine on the topic of safe car and baby travel, for about 1,000 clients of the OKKO filling complex network: young parents, education, police and medicine staff. Besides the campaign of stubs collection, the company also launched a series of study videos on peculiarities children's car seats usage, has social network and drafted 80 certificates for the children's car seats purchase.
