In August 2006, Ukraine the first petroleum quality control mobile laboratory TFC went on the road. Today, efficient examination of fuel is regularly performed by four such laboratories equipped with modern express analyzers, which allow to perform inspection directly at filling stations and oil terminals in any part of Ukraine.
Over 10 years of work the mobile laboratories conducted 14 000 inspections of fuel at filling stations, selected and analyzed 73 000 samples of petroleum products. Alltogether they have traveled over 2.2 million kilometers - this would be enough, for example, to drive around the Earth 55 times along the equator.
Mobile laboratories along with stationary ones are the structural part of the Testing Fuel Center TFC - modern complex, which serves OKKO filling stations network as well as external customers. In 2013, all the laboratories were accredited by the European standard ISO/IEC 17025:2006 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories".
More than UAH 25 million were invested to support the work of mobile laboratories during 10 years, invested. As a result they are equipped with the latest equipment, many of which are unique in Ukraine. For example, express analyzers Eraspec, capable to check gasoline by 18 parameters within 10-15 minutes, and diesel fuel - by 5 parameters. In addition, in the laboratories are equipped with analyzers of closed-cup flashpoint temperature (Eraflash TM) and analyzer of cutoff temperature of filter level of diesel oil (Koehler TM), the analyzers of sulfur that are able to measure the sulfur content in oil products according to the requirements of Euro-4 and Euro-5, and other equipment. To avoid any disruption of the equipment and adapt it to operation in the mobile environment, the tracks are equipped with anti-vibration cushions, air conditioning and drawing systems.
In autumn 2015 the mobile laboratories participated in the unique offer from OKKO network - in the 8 cities of Ukraine on 77 filling stations public fuel express tests were performed for everyone. Employees of the laboratories tested fuel for free and explained to the guests of filling station how every parameter of the fuel affects the mechanisms of the car, the environment, the human health and so on.
