Continuing modernization of its own transport fleet for petroleum products, OKKO has signed a new contract for the purchase of 30 SUPER R 460 tractor trucks from the Swedish manufacturer SCANIA for a total cost of EUR 3.3 million. 10 of these trucks have already been delivered to OKKO's transportation units, and another 20 pcs are expected to arrive in December.
At the beginning of 2024, OKKO network has already purchased 22 SUPER R 460 truck tractors and 10 Everlast tank semi-trailers. In total, in 2022-2024, about EUR 30 million were invested in the renewal of the fleet.
Thus, over the past few years, OKKO's fleet has been renewed by more than a half. Now the company has more than 250 vehicles for the transportation of gasoline, diesel fuel, liquefied gas and bitumen. Meanwhile, OKKO donated for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine some of the withdrawn vehicles, that are still suitable for use and were additionally repaired. In particular, these are 8 truck tractors, 8 fuel tank semi-trailers and 2 air refueling semi-trailers.
“Reliable vehicles are one of the elements of sustainability and efficiency of our business. After all, OKKO network includes more than 400 filling stations throughout Ukraine. All of them need to replenish petroleum products in time manner to avoid inconvenience for consumers and downtime of the complexes. That is why the company is systematically modernizing its fleet, choosing cars that are durable in operation, convenient for drivers, and economical in fuel consumption,” comments Viktor Filonenko, Head of OKKO's motor transport division.
