At once, two new modern laboratories will now control the quality of liquefied gas in the OKKO filling station network. The first of them work as part of the Zolochiv gas filling station (Lviv region), which the company put into operation last year. The second is located on the territory of the State Tax Service in Borodyanka (Kyiv region), where OKKO stores a significant part of gas reserves. The network has invested over UAH 10 million in the construction of laboratories and the purchase of high-precision imported equipment. Gas laboratories include control and measuring equipment from such recognized manufacturers as Agilent (USA), SDM (Italy), Linetronic (Switzerland), and others.
So, quality controllers can now promptly check samples of liquefied gas for approximately 10 parameters. The key ones are octane number, component composition, saturated vapor pressure, and residue after evaporation, water, and sulfur content. Analysis of the component composition, for example, in the laboratory is done for 1 hour, the water content is determined in 1.5 hours.
In January 2019, both laboratories successfully passed the state accreditation for compliance with the requirements of DSTU EN / IEC 17025: 2006 in the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine. So now they can conduct fuel inspections at the request of external customers, and not just serve the needs of the OKKO network.
"Over the past 5 years, sales of gas-powered fuel in Ukraine have almost doubled. But at the same time, the shadow segment in gas trade has grown significantly, - comments the head of the quality control department of OKKO network Alla Sydorovych. - To prevent the substandard product from entering our network, to reliably provide our customers and B2B partners with quality gas fuel, we have significantly strengthened control measures and increased sampling both directly from LPG modules at OKKO filling stations and at the points where we accept and we keep the main volumes of purchased liquefied gas ".
