On October 6th, Nazar Kupybida, CFO of OKKO group of companies, took part in the second International Sustainability Forum, which was held in online and offline formats in Kyiv.
Nazar Kupybida participated in the panel meeting together with Director of the WWF program in Central and Eastern Europe Andreas Beckmann, the Head of the advisory board of ASDE Olena Maslyukivska, the Chief investment advisor of Nordic Environment Yulia Shevchuk, the Head of LifeLine Ukraine Jeroen Ketting and the co-chairman of the Chamber Committee on Sustainable Development Andriy Bublyk. The participants were speaking about how Ukrainian businesses can turn environmental and social risks caused by the war into new financial opportunities.
During the forum the experts shared their experience for creating a platform of global financial methodologies and practices that will help to find necessary resources for the recovery, adjustment and development of business activities during the war and the post-war periods not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries that can be under influence of crisis and force majeure circumstances.
The purpose of the forum is to develop and present "Recommendations for the transition to a green economy in the face of global challenges." As part of the International Sustainability Forum, there were held 4 panel discussions where the top state officials took place, e.g., representatives of Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, the Embassies of Germany and the Netherlands, members of the German Bundestag, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), WWF World Nature Fund, other officials of international financial companies, business and public leaders of sustainable development sphere.
