“OKO ZA OKO 2” INITIATIVE: FULL BATCH OF MORTARS IS FINALLY HANDED OVER TO ARMY
Mar 13, 2024

OKKO network and COME BACK ALIVE Foundation have completed the transfer of mortars to the Army. The weapon was purchased under "OKO ZA OKO 2. Arm TDF to the teeth" initiative. Thus, the defense forces received reinforcement with 300 pcs of 82 mm caliber mortars.

Last year, thanks to "OKO ZA OKO 2", territorial defense forces received 200 pcs of 12.7 mm heavy machine guns, also, 50 automatic grenade launchers of 40 mm caliber were already handed over. As part of the project, 50 more such grenade launchers remain to be shipped. OKKO and COME BACK ALIVE are waiting for this weapon to arrive from the manufacturer.

"We are grateful to every Ukrainian driver who fueled up with PULLS revenge at OKKO stations and thereby participated in providing the military with weaponry. It’s already the second year we transfer funds from each sold liter of our branded fuel to “COME BACK ALIVE” Fund. During ‘‘OKO ZA OKO 2”, we accumulated 400 million hryvnias — that's how your refueling and donations turn into such incredible amounts. While we are completing the transfer of weapons as part of the second stage of the project, OKO ZA OKO 3 has started. This time the goal is even more ambitious — half a billion hryvnias to provide 10 units of Airborne Assault Forces with PULLSTRONS — enemy detection and destruction complexes. We do believe that together, responsible business on the one hand and caring Ukrainians on the other hand, we are able to achieve this goal promptly," commented Vasyl Dmytriv, OKKO Marketing Vice President.

"82-mm mortars are the main weapon on the level of companies, and sometimes even battalions. With them, our fighters can suppress the enemy at a distance of up to 4 kilometers, both in attack and defense. And 300 pcs of new mortars that were handed over to the Army is a tangible number for the frontline,"said Oleg Karpenko, deputy director of the "COME BACK ALIVE" Foundation.

Since the beginning of the invasion, OKKO network has already transferred UAH 1.5 billion to support the Armed Forces and humanitarian needs. Providing the defenders of Ukraine with weapons and equipment is a focus area for the company, so most of the funds are allocated for this purpose. According to the rating compiled by NV Business, OKKO is among the top 10 Ukrainian businesses that most significantly help the Armed Forces and Ukraine during the full-scale war. And among fuel retail companies, the network is the absolute leader in this indicator.
